GRAPEVINE -- Cory Bowers is 25 years old, has a college degree, and years after graduating, he still hasn't found a full-time job.
"I expected that it was going to be difficult for me to find theatre work, but I didn't expect it to be so difficult for me to find any work at all," Bower said Thursday.
Since graduating from college in 2009 with a degree in theatre and a minor in philosophy from Texas A&M Corpus Christi,? the Grapevine resident has worked mostly temporary jobs.
Only now, he said, have things begun to pick up.
He watched Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's speech Thursday night hoping to hear specifics.
"Not just a message of job creation, but a solid plan to put into place to actually create jobs," Bowers said.
Bowers has voted in every election since he was 18. After voting for President Obama on 2008, he said he's a bit disappointed in the outcome.
But the Republican candidate also hadn't won him over when he spoke to News 8 before Thursday's speech.
"Romney hasn't really sold me on why I should vote for him over Obama," Bowers said.
As the battle for the White House continues, the search for the perfect job carries on for Bowers, who like many others, is facing a real challenge.
He is optimistic.
"Staying motivated is a lot easier when you know that there may not be a finish line, but you won't be at the starting line forever," he said.
