Pictures and video are pretty easy to get off of your device. The campus Box.net service, when installed on your mobile, can tap right into your Camera Roll and start an upload. I?ve written about that in a separate post.
Audio unfortunately does get the same treatment. Box.net is still a possibility with some third party apps but the stock recorder does not work with Box.
## Options with Stock Voice Recoder
Probably the easiest way is to email the file to yourself. Audio recorded on your phone should fit into the email attachment limits on campus. It works any other attachment process.

You can share either with email or as a ?message.? That would be MMS oriMessage on an iPhone. Choose eMail.

Put the address(s) on the eMail and click Send.
Open the eMail on the computer where you will be editing and saved the audio attachment in an appropriate location.
## Using a Third Party Recording App
I use the app called Fire on my iPhone because it is great recorder with pro features. I rely mostly on the cloud to move files. This is certainly not the only option for using the cloud. Once in the cloud you can pull the files onto any machine with a web browser and start editing.
Some of the cloud services:
* Box.net ? Everyone on campus has a 50GB account. iOS apps that work include Cloud Recorder and Smart Recorder. On Android Dictadroid is an option.
* Dropbox ? The most common cloud file service. It supports a large number of recording apps. iOS apps include FiRe, Audio Memos, [Voice Recorder HD](http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/24/technology/personaltech/exploring-the-many-options-that-make-recording-easy.html?emc=eta1&_r=1& ?NYTimes article ?)
* [Soundcloud](https://soundcloud.com/ ?Soundcloud website?) ? A music/audio centric cloud service works with many apps. Soundcloud features a great embeddable player. Your uploads can be public or private. The player lets listeners comment on the timeline ? cool for collaborating.
## Android
I should have an Android device soon to try out apps. Everything described above will apply. If you?ve got a favorite please share it in the comments.
